Ideas for How to Cultivate a Faithful Prayer Life

So often, I hear women speak of how difficult it is to be faithful in prayer for others. This can be especially true in the child-rearing years when sleep schedules vary, sleep needs vary, and sickness visits unexpectedly. It can also be true when the demands of your life are less, and you have more free time on your hands. It’s easy for freed up time to become full of activity, leaving little time for solitude with the Lord.

A few years ago, I took time to develop a rhythm to help me cultivate a faithful prayer life. I want to share it with you, in hopes that it will provide fuel for developing your own rhythm of prayer with the Lord. Take my ideas and run with them, tweak them, or file it away as “useful, but not for now.” Every person is different in their preferences and life circumstances, so please don’t feel that if you don’t implement my system, you’re somehow failing!
